✦ This is my first tattoo, what can I expect?
First, thank you for the trust! You are welcome to bring any comforting items such as snacks, drinks, headphones, fidgets, a sweater to stay warm, etc. Don’t shave before, its best to do it right before stencil application. Please wear or bring comfortable clothing that we can easily access the area we are tattooing. I can provide pasties/coverings and room dividers to create more privacy if preferred.
I will have you first fill out paper work, ID check, and I will show you the outline of the design. You can approve or make changes, figure out a good size, then we begin the stencil process! From there, we get you comfy and begin once dry. Breaks are provided at any time upon request. I provide aftercare instructions at the end.
✦ Can I see the drawing before my appointment? I will have the design ready the day of your appointment. If you want to make any changes, just let me know.✦ Can I use numbing cream? Yes, whatever makes you most comfortable! Although, I do recommend you perform a patch test before using the numbing cream to make sure your skin doesn’t react badly, rendering the canvas area un-tattooable. Do understand there are serious possible reactions (redness, scarring, sensitivities, etc.) to numbing creams, so do your research and use it at your own risk. If you use numbing cream, you should not use second skin after to allow the skin to detox the numbing cream. Do note that the cream can possibly wear off mid-tattoo and be more painful, sometimes it is not worth it. If you decide to use one, make sure to apply a thick layer around 60 minutes before your appointment, following up with plastic wrap. I’ll do the rest.✦ Do I book through email or DM? Email is preferred to streamline the process, also be sure to check junk/spam folder for any missed replies! DMs are also welcome.✦ Can I get a touch up? Sure, I offer free touchups as a courtesy service for freshly healed tattoos. I recommend sending a photo of your healed tattoo if you aren’t sure it’s needed. You will be able to tell after 2 1/2 weeks-a month.✦ Can I set up a consultation? Feel free to book a free consultation appointment via email. I will set up either a Zoom video call or in person visit at the shop.
